Story 01

Night presses the mountain low and opens the sky. The stars are quiet, while the crater continues to erupt in the distance, red lava rising out of the darkness and falling back into the outline of the mountain. There is nothing extra in the frame, only sky, mountain, and fire. It is not a spectacular performance so much as a brief revealing: at night, the earth exposes its interior, quietly, but impossible to ignore.
